How to Remove Charges

Going to the CoH to remove charges is one of the most enjoyable visits in the Courts as long as the petitioner has understood, confessed, and turned from the charges that were received. Not having the ability to hear the verdict can be dangerous because if we call for justice before charges are overruled, we may be placed into the enemies’ hands.

This prayer is about appropriating what the Lord has done for us by the shedding of His blood. Everything in this prayer is guided and dependent upon the Holy Spirit, our Counselor. We must be willing and ready to respond to His leading. The job of the Guide is vital in this appointment. They need to listen and respond to what they see and hear. Seers are working under the authority of the Guide and should always let the Guide know if they are receiving anything. By removing the legal access of the enemy, we can make great strides toward our destiny and deepen our relationship with God.

Many attacks of the enemy may not be removed if you have KNOWN SIN in your life that you are currently doing such as adultery, drug use, theft, or continual sins such as lies or drunkenness. Sometimes, we need help getting free of a particular sin because it can be connected to:

  • A soul wound

  • A generational curse

Through the other classes in the Removing Attacks course, you should have a better understanding of how some sinful actions can still remain in your life even though you want to remove them. You should always be ready to address these sins because it opens doors to the enemy that may allow him to attack you.

  • We are here to help you close any door that may be allowing the enemy to push you into a repetitive sin that you KNOW you need to stop doing.

  • We will not judge you for that sin: if you are willing to stop, this is what matters.

If there is KNOWN SIN in your life, DO NOT continue with Intercession appointments without revealing the stronghold the enemy has in your life! Sin creates an open door to the enemy preventing you from a complete breakthrough.

Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)? (Romans 6:16 AMPC)
Afterward, when Jesus found him in the temple, He said to him, See, you are well! Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you. (John 5:14 AMPC)

Jesus healed someone and then, later, cautioned him about returning to that sin. When we continue in a sin, we are giving the enemy a place in our lives. We must stop sinning to remove the attacks. On occasion, the Lord will be merciful and remove attacks with a miraculous healing, but if we continue in that sin, the affliction often returns.

  • If the Holy Spirit has pointed out a KNOWN SIN, especially if it is one of the 10 Commandments, then do not make an appointment for prayer, expecting the Holy Spirit to reveal this sin to us.

    • He already has revealed it to you.

The Holy Spirit reveals to us sins you don’t know you are doing, but not often will He reveal what He has already told you. You will need to confess that you are guilty of the sin the Holy Spirit has pointed out to you.

Going into the CoH with known sin in your life will often allow the enemy to increase his attacks upon you. You can reveal a known sin at any prayer meeting. Only schedule appointments with the same gender when the sin is of a sexual or lustful nature. Men schedule with men and women with women. Choose the option: “Women or Men” only when scheduling your appointment.

Handling Charges

After the words of accusation have been determined to be from your Counselor, it is vital that you understand them.

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man his uprightness: Then He is gracious to him, and said, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom. (Job 33:23-24 AKJV)

When we receive charges from the enemy, we must ask for interpretation of those charges. We must be willing to understand what is against us so that God can deliver us from the destruction of the enemy. After receiving charges, you should have removed yourself from the CoH to take time to receive an interpretation and understanding of the charges. This is confirmed in the New Testament:

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed... (James 5:16 AKJV)

The word “confess” in this verse is the Greek word, exomologeō (eks-o-mo-lo-ge'-o), which means to profess that one will do something, to promise, agree, or engage. We must openly acknowledge our sin and agree that we have sinned, promising to remove it from our lives.

The charges our prayer teams receive in the Courts may need interpretation so that we understand them in order to acknowledge our sin. This also allows you to fulfill the directions in the New Testament by confessing your sins to another Christian before returning to the Courts to remove those charges in the same appointment. In many cases, you will need to discuss the charges with another Christian to receive the full revelation of how they apply. We see this in scripture:

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 AKJV)

The Greek word homologeō is translated as “confess” in this scripture. It means much more than just stating that we have done wrong. It means to see it the way the other person does, in this case, God. It is not only saying we were wrong but fully agreeing with God about how He sees it. When we confess Jesus as Lord, we see Him as our Master, and we are His servant. When we learn that we are not acting according to God’s ways, we must confess that sin, seeing it the way God does. This allows the sin to be blotted out by the blood and erased for good.

The number of words or the difficulty in understanding them may be a test of pride and humility. If you have entered into the CoH on your own, learning more about the words is very important. Inviting the help of our Counselor, the Holy Spirit, is crucial to each and every step of this process. You may want to consider the following doing the following after translating them into your native language:

  1. Look up all the words; there may be definitions you may not know about.

    1. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary online is great.

  2. Copy the words’ synonyms so you can look at the words in a different way.

  3. Use the internet to research words that aren’t in the dictionary.

While you are learning about your charges, be ready to receive clues from the Holy Spirit who chose these particular words:

  1. If something grabs your attention, it may be the Holy Spirit leading you to follow that thread of thought.

  2. Record any memories that come up during this process.

  3. Take a break if your brain gets overloaded or if you begin to feel overwhelmed.

Consider these guidelines for grouping charges you have received:

  1. The words should be grouped in sections. You cannot skip words using only 3,5,9, and 12 to form a group.

  2. Look for common themes with each word.

  3. If words have a similar meaning, often all the words in between them will all be part of the same group.

Removing the Charges

When you re-enter the Courts to remove charges, it is about appropriating what the Lord has done for us by the shedding of His blood. Many try to apply this verse about sin:

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14 AKJV)

Taken out of context, this verse seems to say that through Jesus, our sin cannot affect us. We must read what is said before this to understand how this verse, and others like it, should be applied:

Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin: but yield yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. (Romans 6:11-13 AKJV)

We must consider (reckon) that we are dead, or no longer participating in sin, but instead, we live according to our Lord. Our sin cannot have dominion or rule over our mortal body any longer. We can take authority over sin and stop sinning by yielding ourselves to God, to be used by Him instead!

Once you find out what sin is allowing the enemy to attack you, then you must be willing to STOP doing it! This is what brings breakthroughs in the Courts of Heaven. It isn’t a special way to pray or speak special words that will immediately remove the enemy from our lives. It is by finding out what sin is opening the door to the enemy, then using the power of the blood to cover the sin and remove it from our life, as it is blotted out of all records in Heaven.

The enemy will be watching us. If we walk right back into that sin, he will be ready to attack us once more. This is why many people lose their healing after receiving a breakthrough in prayer. We must remove the sin which allows Satan’s access to us. Continue learning in the other courses to help prevent this!

Prayer to Enter the Courts

We schedule all appointments as “Intercession.” Should the Lord let us know that our presence is required in the Courts, the guide will lead you there through prayer. During this visit to the CoH, everything must be led and be dependent upon the Holy Spirit, our Counselor. We must be ready and willing to respond to His leading. The prayer leader, or “guide,” will listen and respond to what they see and hear. By removing the legal access of the enemy, we can make great strides toward our destiny and deepen our relationship with God.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful to Him, and bless His name. (Psalms 100:4 AKJV)

Prayer should always begin with a thankful heart and by giving praise to God. We must state our intentions in faith, why we have access to the Throne as we acknowledge God as our Judge.

But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in Heaven… (Philippians 3:20 AMPC)

I commonly use this as my prayer to enter the Courts:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus. We come before you in His name. We thank you for the Holy Spirit who has revealed to us through your word, the Courts of Heaven. Heavenly Father, we acknowledge You as The Righteous Judge over Heaven and Earth, and we take our places in your courtroom today as children of the Most High God and Citizens of Heaven.

Next, we must come under the authority of Jesus, relying on the Holy Spirit as we approach the Judge (more scriptures found in the free book: Destroying Curses in the Courts of Heaven):

Lord Jesus, thank you for being our heavenly Advocate, Leader, and Head. We submit to You and ask that we receive information from You and the Holy Spirit. We trust that You will lead us through these proceedings.

Holy Spirit, we honor and appreciate you as our Counselor, Helper, and Guide. Thank You for escorting us today. We place our trust and faith in you to reveal to us all that we need to know.

Once we have taken our appropriate place in the Courts, we can respond to the charges against us by stating each word received from the Judge through the Holy Spirit. These steps should be included in this process:

  1. Confess you are guilty of all charges

  2. State that you are repenting or turning from these sins

  3. Confess that your ancestors are guilty (if it applies)

    1. See the Identifying the Enemy class in the Removing Attacks course

  4. Cover the sins with the blood of Jesus

Listen to the Holy Spirit to see if there is more that is needed to repent for. State anything the Holy Spirit brings to you. After you have made a full confession, then state scriptures to back up your claim. Our team uses something like this:

Mighty Judge over Heaven and Earth, I place the testimony of the blood of Jesus into the records of this court today. This blood cries out from the ground for mercy. We stand in agreement with the blood of Jesus today and ask for mercy for the sins declared before these Courts.

Your word tells us that when we confess and repent for our sins, You are faithful to forgive. Thank You, Mighty Judge, that the blood of Jesus blots out the confessed sins from all records in Heaven and Earth. According to Your word, they will never be held against us again.

For I will be merciful and gracious toward their wickedness, And I will remember their sins no more. (Hebrews 8:12 AMP)
In Him we have redemption [that is, our deliverance and salvation] through His blood, [which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in] the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sin, in accordance with the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7 AMP)

Your case has now been presented before the Courts of Heaven. It is now time to ask for a verdict and for charges against us to be dismissed:

I ask you, Mighty Judge, to dismiss any cases connected to these sins. Let them be dismissed and overruled for lack of evidence, in Jesus’ Name. May we have a verdict?

“Sustained” is a term we use in Court that means to confirm the justice and validity of allegations. We have found that if petitioners come to the Courts of Heaven (CoH) and don’t really turn from their sin, there is awful backlash; the enemy attacks them with pain, sickness, or family troubles. This is retaliation from the enemy because a petitioner didn't follow through with the confession they entered into evidence.

You are placing your faith in God that He is fair and righteous and knows what is due. If at any time the Holy Spirit urges you to say anything else or if you receive a vision, you should act on this. This is not a “formula.” Rather it is a guide according to the court procedures outlined in the Bible. Jesus is our Advocate, our Leader; He should be followed above all else!

Make sure you listen for the verdict and state what you hear. If you receive a vision, it may indicate that more is needed to be done or that chains of bondage are removed. This is why our visits to the Courts are led by church elders: you must be ready to follow the guidance of your Counselor, Holy Spirit, and respond to what is being revealed. Sometimes more repentance or confession is needed.

You should only ask the JUDGE for justice AFTER you hear a verdict of “overruled,” “overturned,” or some similar phrase of dismissal.

Once you hear “overruled” or a similar verdict, simply declare it and ask for justice:

Thank You, Mighty Judge, that the cases are dismissed/overruled. Where cases have been overruled or dismissed, I ask that You bring justice. You alone know the true cost. We trust You to restore, with restitution of damages and all that has been taken or hindered by the enemy. Let any curses attached to these cases be broken, and let the blessing of God come in greater measure.

Don’t ask for justice unless you get cases dismissed. God’s justice is why you were put into Satan’s hands because of your sin. You want to be sure that sin is removed, and the cases overturned before asking for justice! Before we leave the Courts, you should be listening to the Holy Spirit during this process. Let Him guide you in what to say and ask for.

At this point, any visions or words received should be stated and acted upon by coming into agreement and doing what you see is being done in Heaven!

Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on Earth must be what is already forbidden in Heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on Earth must be what is already permitted in Heaven. (Matthew 18:18 AMPC)

If you are seeing or sensing something negative, then there is something that still needs to be taken care of. This should be discussed and led by the Holy Spirit. To leave the Courts, say something like:

As we take our leave From Your Courts, Righteous Judge, we thank You for all you have done for our Sister/Brother. In Jesus Name, Amen

These are the basic steps for entering the Courts of Heaven and removing charges after you have received them and understand them. It isn’t necessary to enter the Courts to receive victory or healing. Before the course about the Courts of Heaven existed, one of the first people our team took to the Courts had only received a minor breakthrough for a blood pressure problem. Here is her testimony:

For many years, I was experiencing my blood pressure spiking up, which lasted up to a week. I visited the doctor and would get medication. After taking it for a week, it would subside, but I would still feel all the symptoms, and it would spike up again. I tried to eat healthy 90% of the time for my health’s sake and took numerous supplements, but nothing worked for long.

When I started doing the courses, some things started dropping off of me as I started learning God’s ways. A few weeks ago, my blood pressure spiked up again, and this time, the medication was not helping, and the side effects gave me a terrible headache.

I had to apply what I learned in the courses; I humbly asked Holy Spirit to show me what is against me that is causing this high blood pressure so I can confess it, repent (turn from) and cover it with the blood of Jesus. A scene came up in my mind about my son when he was six months old (he is 18 now). His finger was caught in the door while walking in his baby walker, he held onto the door frame, and a strong wind came and slammed the door shut as I was trying to stop the door from slamming on his finger. I saw the whole thing and was traumatized. A piece of his finger is still missing because of this incident.

My heart never felt the same for years. I felt like it was suspended by a thin thread, and if I was not careful, it would fall into my stomach. I could not afford to get frightened nor stressed; I stopped listening to the news and stayed away from friends and family or anything that would affect me emotionally.

I confessed that I gave into fear because of the trauma, and every negative word that I spoke against myself and my son, I repented from speaking that way and asked the Father to cover it with the blood of Jesus. No more self-pity; this has to go, too.

I then went to the Throne of Grace and asked the Father for grace, mercy, and wisdom for this situation. That afternoon, I felt a warmth and an unusual special peace around me, and that same evening while sitting on my bed, I felt a hand pull and fix something inside my chest on the left side. I touched my chest, and right away, the thought came to me, “you are healed.”

I smiled and was excited. You all should have seen the big smile on my face as I said, “Thank you, Lord.” I slept like a baby that night, and when I took my BP that morning, it was 100 over 65.

Thank you, Jesus, for shedding your blood to purchase my healing. Special thanks to the church, Lynn, and her team, who have helped me understand how to correctly appropriate the blood of Jesus and getting results for change.

I am watching out now for anything that would affect my soul negatively and deal with it right away. I am also hearing from the Holy Spirit, and I have a wonderful testimony of receiving a chapter and a verse when I asked for it.  I am beginning to understand what it means to be in this world but not of this world because now, when I read the word of God, my understanding is opening up, and I am seeing scriptures in a new light.

This is one of many testimonies we have received from those who have been healed by applying what they have learned in the courses available at our church, which are now available as workbooks. We have come so far away from God because many Christians were never taught His ways:

  • How to identify sin

  • How to strengthen our spirit so we can stop walking in sin

Many dedicated Christians haven't understood enough to receive a full breakthrough in the CoH. The courses at this church are here to help you to walk in God’s ways and receive healing!

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you… (Hosea 4:6 AKJV)

The goal of course at our church are to:

  • Clear the way so that you can hear from Holy Spirit

  • Teach you how to operate in the Courts so that your Counselor can bring you healing and restoration
